We at Chexout recognize and respect your privacy. Accordingly, we have procedures intended to ensure that your personal information is handled in a safe, secure, and responsible manner. This Privacy Policy discloses our practices and applies to information collected by this web site. It will notify you of the following:

- The security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information.
- How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information, information collection, use, and sharing.
The information we collect from you when you register is used for the sole purpose of creating a secure user account which is only accessible by you.
We will not, under any circumstances, sell, rent or grant access to any of your contact or private information to any third party for any reason other than the below exception:
- Judicial and administrative proceedings. We may disclose your information to courts or administrative agencies charged with the authority to hear and resolve lawsuits or disputes. We may be compelled to disclose this information pursuant to a court order, a subpoena, a discovery request, or other lawful process issued by a judge or other person involved in the dispute, but only if efforts have been made to (i) notify you of the request for disclosure or (ii) obtain an order blocking a request.
Except as requested by you, we will not contact you via email, text message or voice call in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services, changes to this privacy policy or terms of agreement. Chexout will only contact you via your approved contact method to alert you that your STD test results are available, to request that you contact your testing center for the purpose of receiving your STD test results, to alert you that your membership is renewing or for purposes of billing. No other contact from Chexout is authorized by this privacy policy.
Your Access to and Control Over Information
You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the email address given at the bottom of this policy:
- See what data we have about you, if any.
- Change/correct any data we have about you.
- Have us delete any data we have about you.
- Express any concern you have about our use of your data.
Security
We take precautions to protect your information. When you or your Health Care Provider submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.
Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data and test results), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page.
While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/ servers in which we store personally identifiable information and test results are kept in a secure environment and all data is encrypted.
At no time can anyone at Chexout view, delete or change your results. Viewing and access are solely controlled by you, and only your Health Care Provider can enter test results to your account. If you have any problems with your results, you must delete the test panel yourself and ask your Health Care provider to reenter your results.
You may permanently delete test panels from your account at any time and they cannot be recovered by our customer service department. If you wish to recover a deleted test panel, you must contact your Health Care Provider and request that they reenter the results to your account.
Gross Data
Chexout stores information in a database. Under certain circumstances “Gross Data” will be released. Gross Data means all data combined and not specific to any individual.
Required by law. As required by law, we will use and disclose gross data, but we will limit our use or disclosure to the relevant requirements of the law.
Public health. We may disclose gross data or information, if requested, to public health authorities that are authorized by law to receive and collect.
Health oversight activities. We may disclose gross data to health oversight agencies during the course of audits, investigations, inspections, licensure and other proceedings, subject to the limitations imposed by Federal and Virginia State law Research. We may use or disclose gross data for research purposes under certain limited circumstances.
Change of Ownership. In the event that this organization is merged with another organization, the gross database will become the property of the new owner, although you will maintain the right to delete your individual records from the site.
